I'm like that computer term WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get. I sing the music that I can feel. So you will hear a touch of jazz, R&B, neo-soul,..some of my music might have a latin or slight alternative feel - but it will definitely always have "soul". I love all forms of music from opera to rock. If it feels and sounds good, its alright with me. That's why I call my music Indie-soul - music that feels good to my soul.

Some people ask me about my name. My name has two separate meanings. It not only stands for my first name but it also means "I have myself". A friend pointed that out to me after I chose that name. I'll have to blog about it because actually, it seems as if my name was chosen for me. jai Moi is French and simply means, I have myself. I...have...myself. It's amazing how three simple words can have such a deep and profound meaning. And for me, my life then and now, those three words ignited a fire that I couldn't extinguish now even if I wanted to.
